DESCRIPTION OF BOARD MEMBER DUTIES:

VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO HELP IN THESE AREAS!!
 
Fundraising - Coordinate fundraising projects and any other ideas for raising money for the PTA.  Research different fundraising options and make recommendations to the Board.  Lots of ideas and fun attitude welcome!
              
Membership Coordinator – Put together a membership campaign that will encourage parents and staff to join the PTA.  Collect membership dues and enter member information into the Washington State PTA online database.  Your enthusiasm and ideas are welcome!
 
Website Coordinator - Skyline has a website that has been created and used in years past.  The Coordinator needs to keep the information current and user friendly.  Experience with this area of work is encouraged but not mandatory.  

 
Volunteer Coordinator - Keeping a record of PTA volunteers for the different committees and events.  Making sure the volunteers are notified and passed on to the correct committee chairperson.  Energetic and love interacting with people? This is for you!
 
Legislative Chair - As parents, we advocate for our children every day.  This arena provides an opportunity for you to learn about broader issues that affect all children and the state of education in Washington and our nation.  You will learn who the key political players are and how to affect real change.  Be the quiet educator or join a rally on the steps of the Capitol in Olympia.  Either way, you will feel empowered by knowledge!
