Examples of advocacy are when you speak up for:
- your child to his/her teacher
- changes in curriculum at your school
- adding a crosswalk or street signs to improve safety around your school
- reform of the children’s welfare system
- improving school nutrition
- improving education funding from the state
- national efforts to increase access to healthcare for children
WHAT IS ADVOCACY?
Advocacy is an activity that aims to influence decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions. We can be leaders in engaging at all government levels to build a better world for ALL children. We can make small steps toward solutions to big problems.
